Honestly I don't blame her.
Every decision she made was wrong from the readers standpoint, but under her circumstances and the knowledge she had, it was technically all right...
If she spent the entire time searching for him in the Vikir Tribe ark, not only would she pause her growth she'd only put herself in danger seeing as the tribes and her family are in bad relations. Believing Vikir died bc he charge at a MASS DISASTER MONSTER is completely reasonable in all cases. At that point not even the top leaders couldn't handle that thing since only Vikir knew of the weaknesses. Otherwise the spider would've been killed long ago to prevent any calamity from happening.
Lots of people are bashing on her bc she didn't have the knowledge us readers have. It's unreasonably stupid... The flashback makes sense bc we MISSED THE WHOLE ARC WHILE READING VIKIRS. 1-2 chapters to explain her side is fine.
Y'all be frothing from the mouth like some kinda animal when this is what makes good world building in stories. I worry for the people around you if you become this unreasonable for something that isn't even a problem.
