@Tired I'm pretty sure he did NOT leave his wife there to be raped by his brother. Ido didn't know his heat cycle was that morning, not even the mc knew.... And the brother didn't know what the 'gift' was. His lecturous mind just 'assumed' it was his brother's wife because he's scum. Ido literally had his life starting to crumble down around him, from his marriage to his business. He was betrayed by someone he loved and didn't even know 'why', so he was petty, childish, and cruel, but I don't think he's a monster. How many people in real life would handle that situation with a level head? In the culture I was raised in, spousal abuse was sadly a thing... and all my aunts and uncles (with the exception of one) worked it out, they let the past go while working through their marriages. and the all grew old and somewhat happy together. I'm not trying to advocate for abuse, but you have to understand what causes it, especially when it comes from unexpected people. Fair is fair.
