@XMLrm i think your are rushing to conclusions. Yes she wanted to go back but even after staying with him for 2 years he still didn't explain to her why he couldn't meet with her even when signing the marriage papers so you can't blame her . And the fact that are wanted to agree from the beginning bit when he didn't meet her once that's when she felt like she was forced to leave her family.
