There's a time skip and Yeon turns 11 and she had just come out of sequestered training and as she was coming from school some students asked her to ride the boat together because they wanted to be friends with her. So she agreed and met all her cousins but she ignored them and was talking to Seok Gayak and after sometime she decided to leave the excursion and jumped from the boat and landed perfectly on riverside. She wanted to eat some sweets, so as Gayak bought some for her she heard someone call for her and it was none other than Namgung Ryucheong and Seo Haryeong who came to attend Yeon's grandpa's 80th birthday.
As Yeon escorts them to her residence she finds Jegal Hwamwu sitting on her bed and it has become a habit of his but when Yeon told him to get he didn't so Ryucheong used force and Hwamwu retaliated as well but Yeon stopped them. And during this arc the aunt's malicious schemes of poisoning Yeon and forcing her into Qi deviation was revealed because she did the same with Baekri Myung this time.
