@Rei I think you're missing the point. The author didn't add slavery because they support it—they added it because they're portraying a problematic historical period. Fiction can show terrible things without endorsing them. By that logic, a story can't include war, racism, slavery, or abuse unless the author agrees with those things, which doesn't make sense. Also, it's a bit inconsistent to criticize Song of the Wasteland for depicting slavery while having sua from Alien Stage as your profile picture. Alien Stage is literally built around a system where humans are treated as property and forced to participate under alien control. If showing a master–slave relationship is automatically wrong, then wouldn't you have to dislike Alien Stage too? It's fine not to like slavery being included in a story, but saying a work shouldn't depict historical oppression at all while enjoying another series that uses similar themes feels hypocritical.

@I LOVE FEMBOYS I'll be honest you made me laugh caz of your stupidity I'll give you that. Yeah I'd have disliked alien stage if the ALIENS, yk like the oppressors like white people in this slop, were the main characters instead of the humans. You're trying to sound intellectual but you just look so dumb istg the connection you just made lmao it's been a while since I had such a good laugh oh lord I've a seen a lot of fiction media handling this topic well and I'm not against it at all. BUT making a romance of oppressor x oppressed out of it ok that's were you cross the line. Imagine me making a bl manhwa on japanese soldiers occupying korea in ww2? Does that sit right with you? Imagine me making a bl manhwa on germen soldier and polish jew during ww2? Does that sit right with you? Keep talking, argue back with sumn stupid, defend this slop. I wanna laugh more
@I LOVE FEMBOYS comparing historically accurate slavery to Alien Stage is such a stretch.
@I LOVE FEMBOYS I feel like you're also missing the point. Unlike this series, Alien stage is purely fictional. Certain things happening in it can be applied to real life instances but in no way has it ever romanticized the whole owner x slave trope. Certain topics need a lot of research and you have to be extremely mindful about how you portray them in your series which the author failed to do so. It's not hard to see why the first chapter rubbed people the wrong way. It's not about why you can't talk about certain topics, it's about how you depict such topics. Slavery itself is an extremely sensitive topic, so to make a whole manhwa between an owner and their slave is offensive in many levels.

@I LOVE FEMBOYS you trying to bring alien stage as if its even remotely similar to slavery and the attempted white savior trope is idiotic. Alien stage addressed and shows the harm it does. This manhwa had it's first chapter start with the voluntary submission of an indigenous man to a white person. That has so many horrible and racist undertones that run historically. Alien stage is based on an entirely different history and racial oppression isn't shown like it is for a real event. (The civil war)
