tbh im not sure, i cant really get into straight romance or GL - although i havent read much. I have a feeling that it may be bc reading those romance will make me long for romance more but with BL I can detach myself from the story and just enjoy it as it is? its a weird explanation but like since theres no woman in bl relationships i dont feel jealous of or desire for a certain character but rather im just happy to cheer on the couple.
