@Lady_Boredington bro what do you mean by selfish? Are you daft or just plain stupid? Do you think wasting away most of your life in a corporate job for 30years just to get slightly enough retirement fund is any different from this?
At least when a person who has a long life sells a few years for a huge sum, they'll still have their youth, they'll have the time left and they'll have debtless money to use for either business or other purposes. A corporate job will steal your youth, your years, your joy and so much more from you and all for what?
In this girl's case she doesn't even seem like she has alot of options or job opportunities. She would have ended up wasting years trying to pay off a debt with ever increasing interest and would lose alot of joy in the process. It's not being selfish to not want to suffer for nothing, it's simply wise
