I think it was mostly because one of his members got in a scandal, and he is a perfectionist, whenever things got wrong he would always kill himself to go back to the past. When he found out that moondae has a system too, he thought that moondae was like him, a regressor. That's why this psycho kidnapped moondae in order to kill him so that both of them could go back to the past and become idols together.
