@Local Dumbass this is just my guess but i think its because the witch wants to stabilize that novel world after sending our girl and her guardian knight away to the other world. And this is how she plans to do it, Im not sure how this works but i guess its possible?

@Local Dumbass So after writer end the story normally this world was going to be destroyed. Medea and the other witches knew that and trying to find a solution. When eris came to Medea, they use her to create a solution for this. And now they need some to continue the story/this world so that nothing would be destroyed.

@I<3yaoi Sounds plausible considering everything else that's happened. Its the most reasonable theory at the moment.
