@Mori that might be true but he didn't deserve not anyone deserves to be treated like that violently the fact he got raped and much worse too that's horrible.

The author revealed a few weeks ago that Minho was beaten by his father every day. His mother left Minho with his father and Minho's mother took Minho's eldest sister with her. She left her son alone with the man who beat her, and who beat their 2 children.
We can assume that's Minho's father, a poor, violent and alcoholic farmer, was a misogynist. This violents farmer is Minho's only remaining family.

An abused child can steal as a form of self-love.
