@Murim fan actualy i did and because of that , this makes no sense. A great family does not apologize and does not pretend is weak and the MC is the fuc**** MURIM LORD ( or you could say a reincarnation or something like that). That means he should already have experience with dealing with this kind of things. If he was really a teenager on the inside, or a modern person from our peacefull era, then yes, his way of doing would have some sense, but being from the same era and being someone who was at the top of pyramid , this way of acting is complete nonsense. Experience teachis us to remove the "roots" and be merciless with enemies unless you want to be troubled by them, again in the future.

@Liviu Barata  So, that mean you didn’t understand the Mc’s personality... just the beginning showed us that the Mc isn’t your typical “ lord “, he even said that his friend (the one who used demonic art) was stronger than him while he is the F*CKING NUMBER 1 IN MURIM... The Mc is just sly and want to live his life peacefully. He is what we call a “ lazy @ss person “.

So, his behaviour totally make sense...

@Liviu Barata No he is from a great family alright but you know the real young master tried to kill himself several times and cuz of it the heavenly grand archive household was in uproar while theyre family is busy those evil clans took an action spreading theyre power but the archive is still more powerful and also even if hes the murim head he doesnt rlly interefere about those things he only fights the guys who threaten the murim alliance plus as you know the him apologizing in the public is only a bait he did that cuz he know that,that clan *I forgot its name* would invite a lot of ppl to witness him apologizing to him to show that they are more powerful. the mc knew that and he wont rlly apologize he would just expose theyre evil deeds in front of those ppl  so the rumors would spread faster and for them to witness what kind of ppl those clan are so thats the easiest way to gather those ppl and i dont think its that bad vuz he trick his enemies into thinking that he would apologize to them but he only did that for them to meet or smth like that

@Murim fan how i said before , stupid author created a stupid MC . Do you know how important was the family honour in ancient japanese era? They would kill themselves if they were dishonored ( by commiting SEPUKU) and this novel tries to create the same atmosphere. If you would say this is more ancient chinese then ancient japanese, then you should already know that honor, for noble asian families in ancient times is almost the same ( only japanese kill them selves, the rest, kill the other people) . A modern person would try to do what you say, but the person from their times, and especially somebody who was already at the peak of "food chain" once, would make the ximen clan extinct overnight. Why? because he can do it! In front of superior power, all schemes are meaningless  and this is what all ancient nobles would want others to believe. "His"clan was mysterious and considered one of the strongest clans and yet a clan like ximen clan dared to conspire?! But then again this is manga so ...
