It's funny to point fingers at people's supposed lack of rizz when the whole story archetype of a harem is based on the fantasy people crave because of lack thereof in their own miserable lives.
I mean, yeah, you must be right, people don't reject it viscerally because of how it's lame and just ruins everything just to grab the attention of touch-starved people.
No, really, the harem subgenre is of utmost quality and totally not an easy gimmick for lazy writers who can't write a good story for sh*t.
It's not like everytime such things are introduced, story takes a toll. Sometimes even stops because incompetent writer have seemingly no idea how to mingle romance and the "original" plot..
