@Tay Gibson it's a trope that clearly isn't for y'all then? It's literally clear that Flashlight was never meant to be happy ahh green flag from the start. Y'all hating on flashlight is literally like an adult hating on baby clothes cause it doesn't fit them.

@cheeriotheo Yes it didn't give off all sunshine and rainbow vibe from the get go but so did "Soft Night". Some manhwas give off a vibe then turn into a fluffy story. Most of us didn't expect this 180 switch from this manhwa. And we're allowed to express our opinions. Some of y'all saw that coming from miles away. Good for y'all.
Personally I don't hate this manhwa. Since I've seen toxic s*t. But I just didn't expect it from this manhwa. That's all.

@Manhwarules expressing opinions is different from legit hating on it bro... and there are also people in the comments insulting the people who still enjoy Flashlight.

@cheeriotheo obviously it isnt for everyone but the complete switch up was wild, it was a green flag snd to me it did seem like it would stay that way, this turning into a whole black flag is js completely random , wdym ur locking sb up in ur room for DAYS saying they can never leave but before was giving them so much love and attention.

@Tay Gibson It's actually pretty obvious to me why he switched up. First, if you read the manhwa properly you would know this, but Aaron has severe insomnia. That insomnia gave him literal madness, and Yujin is the only anchor to a normal, functioning brain. So makes sense why he would absolutely freak when Yujin leaves. Because losing Yujin also means losing his sanity forever. Second, he has family trauma. Aaron’s grandfather was extremely toxic and controlling, and Aaron spent his entire life trying to be a perfect, polished gentleman to escape that. This is why the absolute panic of Yujin abandoning him triggers a massive psychological regression. He defaults directly back to his grandfather's abusive tactics, which is using control and walls to force someone to stay. Make sense now?
