@B P (Ult1m4) Most likely it's an attempt to lure him into thinking of the capital as home. It gives him massive prestige to use in negotiations with other powers, and a trump card incase a critical problem like a dragon or invasion happens. Since the demi g** is not only saving innocents but so his home, the servants he gets to know and any family he ends up starting. He** the king likely wouldn't even have to ask, he'd volunteer to resolve a crisis and save his waifu.

@Bill Kenney For sure. It's just problematic when mc's are forced unto wars or political unrest like civil wars and so on. 

Now... if we had the same foreign ou even within the country, policies towards talent from within Europe instead of what we have now, we would really live in a good world...
