Yes let's say, don't judge a book by its cover, what we can judge so far is the setting ( makes no sense) and the love interests. So far it has started out as the classic white savior, who didn't like slavery and he was a good slave Master and yadayada...wrong! Secondly this is clearly during the slavery Era yet still we are having cow boys? The timeliness don't match up, nothing. If Jaxx really put effort into his research and understood what actually happened. I'm about 80% sure that they would have canceled the idea and stuck to a cowboy theme. WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT BY THE WAY!
Just those few things I pointed out alone clearly shows the inconsistencies and lack of actually effort put into studying such a heavy topic
