Just the fact that author received death threats and so much online bullying for this shows how toxic this community is and that some of you really need to go out to touch grass.
Jaxx absolutely didn't deserve not an atom of this hate and I personally feel really sad for her and this situation.
Aside from this "moral highground" which many people here took about the slavery and whatnot, noone absolutely noone deserves to be threated by death for writing a FICTIONAL story (and even more, a effin BL for the love of god). You all act like this author killed your family or something, with the amount of hate she got.
1) This is/was a FICTIONAL story
2) We will never actually know what author wanted to show or portray because it was cancelled after 1 chapter
3) You are all hypocrites because there are so many, and i mean SO MANY worse themed works full of r*ape, coercion, child marriages, human trafficking, mafia and whatnot. And that's totally ok because ohh guyssss the bad guy got a 3-chapter long redemption arc so it's ok whatever he did in the past. But we will draw a line at American history. Bad Jaxx, Bad! How DARE she even mention something like that??
4) You can't truly claim what author actually meant on the basis of 1 chapter
5) Author is confused how she got a backlash even before an official release = putting piracy again and sites like this on higher risk of takedown because you had to cry about it
all in all I hope you are all super proud of yourselves. Such moral fighters of justice but in the same time online bullies who send death threats to authors because you didnt get your daily dose of BL like you wanted.
and yes according to some comments it seems that I am a child even tho I was born in the 90s, but at least I didn't bully the whole community and a really nice author because I didn't get what I wanted in 1 single chapter.
