I would think they would love unafiliated people, since it would bring more awakened to their groups and make them stronger? Like, I understand the risk, but it seems silly for them to isolate themselves this way.

@•SUGAR• The powerful elite have always been like this, even in reality. It's never truly been about any risk, that's an excuse. It's "us" vs "them". It's status and power. They don't care about logic, they care about protecting their precious power balance.
