I agree with you completely! you’re right if we look at it from our own perspective. However, in a real-life situation, seeing a victim bullied while a crowd of bystanders watches and ignores them sets a terrible example for society. If you have the ability to help, you should—though I don't believe you should needlessly risk yourself. This story only focuses on the negative consequences of intervening. I want to emphasize that helping isn't always a bad thing; if it’s within your capability, it can literally save a life. This plot is frustrating because it ignores the positive impact that helping a victim can have.
