Her escape is successful in this chapter, but after reading her mom's diary, she finds out that she was used by the revolutionary army, and Leon was telling the truth so she exposes their base on purpose. When leon finds out he lost her, he goes berserk, and when he also reads her mom's diary and finds out she didn't have anything to do with his father's torture and death, he is consumed with regret for years, begging her to come back and forgive him.
