@The queen ooo, I was thinking that he's traumatised from his father, so maybe him staying in the bunker is a way of coping? and that he's still haunted by the fear he had of his father? (i strongly think he did kill his father btw, from the beginning it was subtly hinted in a way...maybe a reread will help things)
his mom also seems a bit strange, so I can imagine why he wouldn't want to stay home either. idk, to me it just seems like an escape for himself.
