I never get the logic behind the idea a 'bas****' ....is it that if it's royal X royal then the baby is "direct line" but if it's royal X commoner it's a "bas****" ?? Someone make me understand!!
@Malevolent_King It is easy: word 'bas****' is refering to the child not from marriage, very often adultery. This was basic meaning of that word. It could be used for commoners affairs too. Usually, the royal X commoner is an example of adultery, therefore the child of them is called "bas****".
Of course, I am not telling that the child is guilty. Hope that this answers your concerns. :)
@Malevolent_King because nobles have extreme classist views especially against commoners. Which is why even though Lindsey is his wife other nobles might have referred to her as a concubine. Because they think she isn't a "suitable partner" and that a "real" partner needs to be someone from nobility
