@demonboy this guy spent 99 regression calculating the best possible course of actions for the best possible results in order to save as many people as possible.

Jinwoo had a quest panel that made him do things he didn't understand until necromancer went brrrr and nothing could get in his way, until his enemies out leveled him and the world needed to be reset because: he was no longer the strongest

This guy has goals for each and every aspect of this deathgame. And a personality that doesn't reduce all the side characters to useless distractions even if they can only stand on the sidelines.

Jinwoo went from "I will use my brain to take care of my family. Dies. I need to become stronger. Regressed. I know everything."

NOT TO MENTION, they cut out a few of the actual interpersonal character interactions there was in Season 2 of the the anime in favor of dumping more Hype onto the Shonen fan boys. Because that's all Solo Leveling ended up being, Hype Po** that ended off screen instead of going out with a bang.
