I really do get both in all this situationship. And I cannot blame her for this, she’s really trying to understand how she feels about him, and she’s doing it by being completely honest—just putting her heart out there and facing it head-on, whatever the outcome might be for her, for him or both of them, and that kind of openness takes guts, not many girls would be brave enough to expose themselves so boldly as she did, so kudos for her for it.
At the same time, I get him too. He seems like someone who's carrying way more than he lets on, and her intensity probably feels like a lot to him right now. Probably because he’s never had someone come at him like that—so genuine or so persistent.
So, of course, instead of leaning in, and risking everything as she, he just shuts himself down. Not because he doesn’t feel anything, but maybe because it’s too much? too fast? too new to him? And he’s probably not ready, and the only way he knows how to deal with all that is by pushing everything and everyone away—even if deep down it’s exactly the opposite of what he wants but he doesn’t know how to handle it yet. I mean that just my perspective about their relationship until now, maybe I’m mistaken or things take a different turn in future chapters, I don't know...🤷🏽♀️
