For the people who are still incredulous and ridiculously angry that Doc Dan became infatuated with Joo first, part 4 (I will repeat it until I die of exasperation): The fact that Doc Dan became infatuated with Joo first, is the most realistic thing that could have happened, following the events of the plot: through the purely sexual relationship with Joo, Dan is beginning to know himself through his own body, and as a result he is gradually becoming aware of what sexual intimacy means and the pleasure that can be derived from it. In the course of the chapters one can see how the sexual relationship between Doc Dan and Joo is gradually developing, as Joo is more involved and consequently also involves Doc Dan in the sexual act: Joo, in fact, begins to consider what could give sexual pleasure to Doc Dan, whereas before he was only focused on his own personal pleasure. This behaviour can lead the Bottom (inexperienced) to develop an emotional and sexual involvement with his Top, as he begins to feel more and more involved in sexual intimacy with him. So it is absolutely physiological as well as LOGICAL that it is Doc Dan who fell first. Try to go beyond your prejudices and static beliefs and try to better analyse and contextualise the dynamics and developments between the characters.
