she was trying to bargain her life to protect the kid (mc). She knows he's good, but she has a conscience since he is just shadowing the group and not an official member. Remember the captain of her bodyguard detail in the last chapter had the same reaction when Ijin sat in the car as beaten up as he was, but he didn't have a choice since protecting the director is his top priority.
