@Shiro An Ze is the guy who died while on a mission (i think it was a mission, maybe they were doing research in the "Abyss"). the Abyss is the deepest and darkest, most polluted area in their world. An Ze died and a mushroom was able to communicate with his nervous system/brain because fungi help decompose dead bodies as they decay. the mushroom ended up becoming a clone of An Ze, and took his ID card, his clothes, and his map to go to the government/the "judges" to get his spore back
