I don't think think this guy is a reincarnator(unless I overlooked that being mentioned) if anything, he's definitely the son of those two top martial artists that "disappeared" during the war.
That would explain both his skills and why other strong characters are following him. (Trio from the beginning)
And he's definitely in love, but if he knows that or not is a different story.
