yep it's true. Her father beat maxi and unexpectedly riftan came to pick maxi up and discover her in that state (the duke beating maxi That's when riftan knew that maxi has been abused. He then tried to attack the duke out of anger.

But riftan comes to save her cuz she's trapped in her father's residence, and he beats her there, and riftan breaks through to find her and sees that so he throws a chair at the duke and riftan and maxy acc have a good communication abt the miscarriage and all misconception sadly the novel stops updating there
