"cheating is cheating"

You cheat on someone when you were both in a consensual relationship and betray your partner, last I remember this marriage was COMPLETELY against Serena's will, she had no say in it at all. She owes loyalty to a man she was forced to marry?
And let us not forget she quite literally heard him on a phone call saying how he would use her for the serenity family then throw her away and kill her when he no longer needed her.
She was forced into a marriage with a man from a family that she despised, that man then proceeded to ignore and neglect her for years. I will never support her cheating but referring to her actions as just plain "cheating" in this scenario is completely dumb

@n uhm where did it say that he was gonna kill her?he never mentioned her name in the call. cuase last i remember he was on a phone call and whe she heard what he was saying she just assumed it was her and haed him since bc she went along with that assumption. thats literally why she dispised him is that not?. this is literally funny bc if it was oppisite genders you all would hate on him without looking at his side of the story and think shes a baddie. go reread the chapter of the phone call and tell me when and where at the time he was on the phone call that he mentioned her name in any of it cause mayb i could be wrong. trollface sticker

@n that phone call was being referred to Frederick. Go and reread and another thing ML clearly said he has never hated FL not even once. And Selena was forced into that marriage for the sake of the hotel, if she didn't get married they would have gone bankrupt and lost everything.

bruh yall readers are so one dimensional thinkers. Ofc it was about fred but Selena thought he was referring to her. Because she stood in his way to take over serentiy, that's why she thought Izer too hated her. And nor he ever confessed her until now that he doesn't hate her. And that's not Selena's fault nor she owes him anything. He was a stranger and he was always cold to her, he never once tried to behave like a husband to her. So put yourself in her place, where you are isolated from the rest of the world, lonely, forced into a marriage with a stranger, lost a mother, her childhood dream, saw people of her loved ones commiting suicide and departing their ways, on top of it, she felt anxious that he was going to kill her at some point and take over her family business.

And fred was the only who genuinely showed her care during those dark times so she really doesn't care about the labels because this 'husband and wife' titles never carried the meaning they should have, like they both say, it's just on the paper. Inside those 4 walls, they are just strangers trying to survive to their best.
