@Yumi during the mediaeval times the allotted age for marriage for girls was 12 years onwards.

@Senti depends on the time period... children ages 6 and so on were and even still are married off to others today... look at the islamic countries, according to the UNICEF in the year 2015 there where 176 children getting married at the age of 10 or below in Iran... so yeah that shㅤㅤㅤit even happening nowadays and even far below the age of 12. That being said this goes for both genders not just girls. In medival times for example the marriages (most of the time not always) happened between young children cus the marriage was to seal of some sort of contract and alliance. The children mostly just married and then returned to the family till at some point the girl was send to the boys family. Also the early marriages were mostly due to the high child mortality.
