Comment on ChapterThe Demon King’s Confession - Chapter 93
I know that I'm slow but I wanna understand something. Lapis blames herself for everything the past dark lord did, considering how everyone believes that the dark lord was at fault. But wasn't it the disciple that betrayed her the one at fault? Or was there a good reason why she even betrayed her in the first place. Cause from what I'm picking up the from what karl said, the saint didn't share her divine powers with the rest (The powers that she STOLE from the dark lord) Why does it seem like the dark lord was just framed...she seemed so sweet before everything happened. Can someone help me understand please :(((

@Yuyu tbf I've forgotten the plot now but I'm pretty sure she didn't even want to share her powers in the first place she was forced into it by the humans and she didn't wanna be rude and decline so she raised her disciples to help or smt
land yes I believe it is the one who betrayed hers fault this is simply bcs the dark lord had enough of sharing her powers and the bi*** stole her powers to make herself look good by sharing it with the people or sm sh**
@Yuyu Deitasterra did purposefully cause the curse, though she didn't spread it, magicians did. Though, from the hints that we got, it seems that it's more like the Followers spread it and the magicians perpetuated it.
Averna, the "saint" was the catalyst since it was her betrayal that sent Deitasterra so deep into despair that she caused the curse. It seems like Averna did it due to being yandere over Calla also something something humanity's fate should only be decided by humans, though it does seem like it's more about the former than the latter. She then declared Deitasterra and the other disciples and magicians as evil, hiding the fact that she was one of them.
So yeah, she both is and isn't being framed.
