@smallfry I don't agree with that, and here's why: one person chose to move forward, while the other decided to blame everyone and live in the past. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's easy to forget things—in fact, it's often impossible. But instead of focusing on himself and healing, he chose to harm others, including many innocent people who had nothing to do with his family.

What's worse is that it wasn't even about his whole family, but mainly issues stemming from his father and, if I'm not mistaken, the mother of his half-sibling. Having a difficult childhood doesn't excuse or justify killing people, even if they hated him.

Yes, words can be more painful than swords, but he could have chosen to cut ties with his family instead. I know it's difficult—I've made that choice in my own life—but it's far better than resorting to violence.
