So i see my comments got a lot of hate. Though it was expected. Some people in other platforms told me this story was realistic. Let me tell you as a psychology majored student and a associate writer(it's a long story why my work is different from my major). When I first entered university my first class started with the phrase "a human heart ends with a 'what if'" it means no matter where we are out hearts and our thoughts will always go through the path of a what if. When we say this story was realistic, we mean that after everything that TJ and Ian went through together they deserve each other. Morally thinking it is true, because Ian was a good soul. He didn't want his dark past to consume Jo's bright future. So he decided to go with TJ since they were similar. But in reality that's not how a human heart works. While I studied in psychology I learned that a human mind seeks solace from everything even from peace. So when you're stressed or struggling a lot, like a really bad way, and something good happens to you in those struggling phase It will always stay with you. It will be in your mind and you can never think of it in a bad way. So when we see the happiness given by Jo to Ian will always remain with him and he will always remember that whenever he faces any hardship with TJ because that is reality and that's where the "what if" part comes in. This story was morally strong I won't deny. But in reality people vhoose to be happy with someone who can guve them a fresh start away from the memories that made them miserable. Ian wanted to protect Jo's future that's why he left him but even after two years when he sees the sky he remembers Jo. But he can't say that to TJ. I'm sorry for the aggressive comments I wrote. I have accepted the ending morally but when people say it was realistic, but it is not.
