I think it's a bit unrealistic uk that even the teachers are not the least bit concerned about the kid. They know his situation and just let the kids bully him. I mean, not even a single good soul ? C'mon..
Not saying this does not happen but I would expect maybe 1 Good adult crossed paths with him somewhere because this seems like a normal neighbourhood. But no I guess for the plot.
