@Pa pa Cat but there’s no way to confirm that the plane crash caused something like savant syndrome. while a lot of savants do have autism spectrum disorder and tend to show uneven abilities, that pattern isn’t universal. even in cases without autism, savant skills are usually accompanied by some kind of imbalance in functioning. if he doesn't seem to struggle in daily life or show clear gaps in other areas then there isn’t much evidence pointing toward savant syndrome. it’s more reasonable to assume he doesn’t have it than attributing his abilities to something that rare.
...also, savant abilities are usually specific pattern based skills (like memory, calculation, music, or detailed perception) ijin's skills on the other hand, are combat focused. hand-to-hand fighting, advanced gun handling, tactical knife use and whatnot... that theory is flawed.
