@H i s o k a In his perspective he does believe what his sister said but if you had been loved and adored by a woman who didn't have treat you like her own son because she wasn't your bio mom you would probably have a moment of being very confused and questioning what's real and fake his mind was also manipulated by the step mother even if it was with kindness it's still manipulation plus he was only processing his thoughts to himself he never said anything.
