so the MC was part of the kpop group dream boy and went with the stage name "happy". earlier in the chapter he says-"i cannot cause another issue and get others dragged into it". so may be he got framed for a scandal which led to the disbanding of the group. the ML also goes by the name "happy", maybe he was the mc's fan.
