@Yomanyo of course he does whatever he wants, the guy has a mission for coming back in time. He has greater things on his mind than being a nanny to someone who is very slow to adapting. Most of the hidden pieces are time sensitive. What do you mean he didn't bring otaku guy along? The guy left by himself. Mc didn't kill them cos he wants to be the authority that makes rules and order for mankind later, it won't do well of he killed them and took their runes no one would obey his rule in the future if he does that

@Yomanyo he's killing where there's no witness. In this chapter, killing those guys will be seen by others as an act to take their runes. A lot of people were watching unless he kills everyone, someone will call him out as an hypocrite later. In the chapter he killed personally he had already established his strength as someone who got strong without killing humans for their runes. So even if he kills humans now no one will say he DoD it for the runes besides he's killing in a place without witness while in disguise so no one will know and he's been so merciful and helpful to people so his reputation is tight already. If he makes rules later people will have to listen cos he's strong with a good reputation

@Emma big deal..even he doesn't kill, someone else will kill...so he didn't achieve anything by not killing ....he doesn't have a great image to begin with...your large explanations are further proof of gaslighting the issue of this being a inconsistent mood-swing MC who only cares about himself and does whatever he feels like
