What i think is that the things he sees whenever he close his right eye is the true nature of an individual? I mean, their inner selves? Like that boss guy. The child MC sees in a robot suit is maybe the inner child of the boss. Maybe in the boss' childhood was sad or etc, that's why it is sad. That what I think, or maybe it's not actually that deep. Wahahahahahahaha

Think it means he's really just a child trying to look tough or something. As for the meaning behind the left and right I have no idea. Maybe it's something like how his adult mind learned how to use his right side with logic but his left side isn't dominant and can now be used for his newfound "sixth sense".
@AguaDeFruita the right side of the mind is for logical thinking while the left side is the creative one
