Writer/plot purpose....reminds me of marvel where the hero gains or loses strength for plot purposes, which I call it lazy writing. Even if the writer makes it in next chapter he is "faking" it or other reason, it still stupid since it does not follow the pattern of prior chapters. I understood on the carriage since he was worn out from 300 battles prior to the top assassins but this is lazy writing simply to draw readers in.
