Sob cuz I scrolled through comment section to see if this is worth reading this comment makes me sad to know that the angst is similar to that if black lotus I waited over 100 chapter and more for black lotus updates until he finally didn't hate Gu so much
It's actually better than black lotus cuz black lotus's mc sucked. He was a literal doormat, weak and he forgave way too easily.
As a Novel reader I have to disagree with that, no way this is similar to Black lotus.
In black lotus ML resorted to physical abuse towards MC because of his stupidity.
While the ML in this Manhua Is much much more better that that Guy, He never abused physically/mentally MC, also he had GOOD reasons to his actions (which were explained in the novel about chapter 79) It was just MC and other side characters (ML's friends) misunderstanding ML.

Black lotus is far more cruel it has abduction, physical and mental abuse also manipulation.
The thing is the MC here and Black lotus is both pianist.
Yansheng Gu is far more cruel and cannot be forgiven.(Atleast in my own opinion.)
The ML here actually suffered mentally for 2years due to realization and conscience to how badly inlove he is to MC.
(I am not invalidating the fact that he still hurts the MC and technically ruined 5years of yanyan's life.)
