I don't get why she kept it a secret. There is no use on the long run and she can just tell him to keep it a secretbecause he owe her his life (twice).

@Jm12345678 she probably kept it secret for a few reasons. 1 if it gets out she is doing this it jeopardizes? everyone around her. 2 she doesn't trust him. 3 he keeps coming at her aggressively and instinctionally she is running. 4 he could use her secret against her.
@Jm12345678 female warriors were frowned upon in this timeline so if the high society has discovered or learned that her family's legacy of their reknowned swordmanship is with her and not her younger brother, her and her family's reputation will be crushed.
Her younger brother won't be even saved from the scorns of people and she doesn't want that knowing her sibling almost unalived himself for being unable to inherit the family name.
Her disguised career as the most powerful mercenary would also incur a lot of enemies after her weakness once they find out who she really is. It's definitely going to be a sh** hits the fan kind of chain reaction. And what also Juju said, despite them being comrade in arms at the battlefield, she doesnt trust him.
