Always the reverse scale. I don't really get why would a reverse scale be a weak point though. The inside is just as hard as the outside probably.

@Viewer 7 It's a Korean/Chinese mythos thing. Dragons have a scale that's going the opposite way of all other scale, like a ch*** in is armor. I think it also carries magical significance as well

@Viewer 7 As much as I know from all the dragon slayer manhwas/manhuas I have read. The reverse scale has the lowest mana consention and has a much softer features. And this makes the dragon killing a lot easier
