@fifana again, you're thinking of the future him, he's a kid at this point, a kid who is constantly told he's not good enough, whose family is distant or outright hostile, this is what turns him into the ass**** he becomes, rather than pointing out what he becomes we should be hoping something(the lovable female lead perhaps) changes that, so he never hurts her again, at this rate even if they separate he'll be hostile towards her family, her getting along with him is the only way to avoid him causing her pain in the future
