I don't understand why every one hate the emperor. He nerver promised love to first Robelia. He never insulted her nor hited her. He just told her that she was not fited to be his emperess and he was right! She let herself die and did not do anything to change her fate. He need someone with a strong caracter and capable to fight back. I think that the new Robelia hit his standards. You can even say that he is not really in apparences because he comes to be interested in her the moment that her personality changes.
I like this emperor because he is not the one who makes you see the stars and toss you to the ground.
And, if I'm right, our traveller did not finish the book she was reading before travelling so she don't know the full story..
