@Moku maybe for kiddos who were rised before the tv and pc. as i was a kid, the summer was the shortest time in the year, it was so fast gone that you had not enough time to do everything you wanted to do to enjoy it fully.
you could do in the day something like going to the swimingpool or a lake, or play outside with frinds, or siting in the garden and enjoyed the weather, or take a "bed in the cornfields". nights you still had a lot of posibilitys to do a lot of stuff with frinds.
i miss my youth and the things you could do as young ones, kids, you miss a lot of good stuff that you would want to remember if you get old.
