@Titan lover shilds can be used as weapons too. there were several different kinds of shilds, most used for defence, but there were some too that were designed to fight with them.
a roundshild like the one he wears can be used for defence, but if you hit with the edge of the shild, you can beake bones and crush necks, you can trow it or push the enemy with it to bring him out of balance. you can use it for a lot of things.

how did the old short asian dude say to the western teen "everything can be used as a weapon" (from the old movie karate kid)

@Victoria Duhu honestly i can easily bash the skull of someone with a knife if i have a big shield like what are they gonna do shank me? nah i'd block

@sushi Mactar you forget that the heavier an object is, the harder it is to lift not to talk about attacking with it

With a weapon you can be a sneaky veteran or a lousy novice, as long as the pointy side goes into the other guy, then it's a win for you 🫡

@Belladonna you forget that it's a massive slab of metal in the hands of an extremely buff guy that gets stronger the angrier he gets(barbarians have the rage ability that decreases damage they take and increases damage they deal at the cost of limiting the type of actions they can take)

@Victoria Duhu i am realistic, but looks like you not.
there are a lot of different types of shilds out there, research a little about them, you would not even need 5 mins to see how "realistic" i was.
and sorry to say that but the shild hero guy used his shilds the wrong way and relied to much on skills.

@pi perhaps you're right, perhaps you're not. The way I see it, it's a difference in opinion, thinking and attack strategy. I respect your thoughts on shields even though I'd take holding a knife over a shield any day. 

Hmm... perhaps this is the right situation to say, "I agree to disagree"

@Belladonna I think shields can be really useful if paired with a great sword I played RPGs and shields have saved my a** a ton of times especially when the boss can heal itself to max HP , and one shot you with one attack if you don't have your shield up.
