@Lost Again   i think by him being the first born, its meant that he is the first son, so his parents have 4 kids a daughter (the one that was gonna die from small pox) our mc (first in line to the throne as he is a male) and then 2 other sons who we saw in the chapters before where the mc was making flashcards
