when they revealed that the ML had ulterior motives; it just made him plain unlikable to me. I already was kinda weirded out by him when he dead a** SEARCHED for the MC and in real life blackmailed and led them on ... (ofc, ik he eventually caught genuine feelings). Still, it felt so unsatisfying and probably could've been written better.
