She turned to check and there was fire in the mouth of the dragon. Penelope and Callisto ran screaming at the same time. The fire burnt the entire palace and came at great speed. Penelope could feel the heat on her skin. She tries to think of any water or ice magic but even if any magic spells appeared on the wand it was too late to say them. The huge fire finally caught up with them and Callisto cried out to her pulling her into his armor. She screamed. But there was no pain and she felt no heat. She opened her eyes to see the flames had been split it two around them. She realizes it's the defensive magic from the rose than Vinter gave her. She remembers him telling her that in the case of emergency it would activate. The trigger being her screaming. Penelope felt strange watching the flower. 

The flower that bloomed splendidly in her hands and withered immediately with purple petals. The love of the suspicious Vinter was also so. Penelope tells Callisto to open his eyes and he asks if they've made it to the other world. Penelope informs him that they're not dead yet. He asks what happened and she points to the rose. She tells him it's the defensive magic she mentioned earlier. She tells him it's a defensive magic from Vinter. Callisto is not impressed. She accepts this and the necklace, but ignores the gifts he gives her every time. As the flames cease, the rose disappears. One side of the the ceiling collapses where the dragon breaks the pillar like wooden chopsticks. Penelope searches through the mess for Yvonne. Penelope sees Yvonne's head of pink hair through the black backdrop quickly passing through the cracks of the collapsed walls.
